We currently have a rare opportunity to join our supportive and friendly team in Newcastle.
As a Rehabilitation Consultant at Work Rehab, you will play a key role in assisting the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability. You will use your clinical expertise and guidance to support individuals to regain independence, improve their quality of life, and reintegrate into the community and the workforce.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
- Develop individualised rehabilitation and return to work plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation
- Work closely with a number of stakeholders, including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors
- Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of individuals
- Identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery timeframes
- Provide recommendations/solutions to work towards the desired goal
- Complete a range of assessments including Vocational Assessments, Workplace Assessments and Psychological Functional Capacity Evaluations.

ABOUT YOU
- You will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology
- You will have a positive disposition and enthusiasm for new opportunities and ongoing learning
- You will enjoy working with people and fulfillment in supporting clients to achieve their goals
- You are motivated and enjoy working within in a diverse environment across a wide client base to achieve successful rehabilitation outcomes
- Willingness to travel (current vehicle and driver’s license compulsory)
- Ability to confidently to consult with workers, insurers, medical practitioners, case managers and employers
